The Steering/IOC elections are rapidly coming up!. The Steering Committee/IOC Candidate Forum is this Saturday (May 12 at 4:30 pm. at Friends Meeting (2111 Florida Ave NW) Please come out if you can, due to the number of people running it may be your only chance to hear from all of them in person. The elections working group is accepting written questions for the forum candidates up until 11:59 PM tonight, (Friday May 10).

As of midweek, twelve members were nominated and have accepted their nominations for at-large Steering Committee posts; two candidates have been nominated for Secretary and two for Treasurer, and one has been nominated for Internal Organizing Committee co-chair. The list is available in the  #2019-local-election channel of MDC DSA Slack. It is the official place on Slack to do campaigning and ask questions.   Nearly all of the candidates are in there, so it’s a great place to get information about people’s platforms if you can’t make the forum. An elections resource page is on the MDC DSA website. The deadline for nominations is Sunday, May 12. — Gabriel R
